This post is for YOU!

OMG How can so many eggs hatch???

I had a prior post about my child smuggling eggs to Papa’s to hatch over the course of a month. Seemed like they were in need of more than normal and the reason we refrigerate all eggs ASAP...

My parents (of course) called after the first one hatched for us to pick everything up... Turns out an ancient styrofoam incubator and retired grandparents who adore their old grandchild can obtain a 90% hatch rate.

We cannot keep the entire group and I hate to list all as “barnyard mix”. I have searched and viewed for hours but am so green it’s become overwhelming. Any help identifying sex, breeds or possible trendy crosses would be greatly appreciated. I’m super hopeful some are “designer crosses” and easy to find good homes.

I will update photos weekly until everyone has a forever home and can be sexed. I don’t want anyone to enter surprise rooster hell..

I have a photo of the eggs I collect from my girls and our crew. Not pictured: Black Silkie, Sumatra (black/blue), serama (duck wing). Also “Pretty Girl” is a cockerel (late bloomer).

I have photos of the flipping adorable babies - Shout out to Oakland County Michigan area folks —- I cant keep them all and will deliver :)

Side note: we removed Roos when confirmed/discovered for re homing. Chicken Beginners x Straight run = More Roosters than Hens Hell Disaster.

**Michigan peeps 2 EE, white Silkie cockerels, 1 RIR, 2 ISA’s layers available and will deliver**

I know it’s probably too early or maybe even impossible but every once and a while “Hail Marys” are a success.

Whoa.
Well, it's going to be hard to narrow it down with so many possibilities. The black ones wo feathered feet I would say most likely had the black silkie as a dad. The ones with light feathering may have brahma parents.
