Just an FYI, pure wyandottes can have straight combs...it is actually desirable for breeding since the straight combed wyandottes are supposedly more fertile.

I should clarify to say that it is desirable to have a straight-combed rooster over pea-combed hens if you've been having fertility problems. You wouldn't want a whole flock of straight-combed wyandottes!

you know, he came in a big box of leftovers, called a hatchery surprise. basically you call and order a hatchery surprise for a super low set price, and they throw whatever didnt sell in a box and mail it to you. so thats how we got him. we sold most of all the others, but this little chick was so funny looking we just had to keep him. his name is spooky rooster, our 3 year old named him, and he is THE beloved chicken . i wondered if it might be a cochin when he was a chick, but he grew and changed, and i guessed other things, but then he developed the long green tail feathers, so i was super stumped.
im glad you guys think thats what he is, hes just a funky looking slc! i agree!

Doesn't seem to have heavy enough foot feathering for a cochin; I doubt brahma as that should give a pea comb. I'm voting for sliver laced wyandotte X silver laced cochin, which would account for less foot feathering as well as the single comb.
