The black one looks like a marans to me. I don't think australorps have feathered shanks. The mystery will certainly be solved when she lays, if she's a marans it should be totally obvious from the very first egg. If she is, make sure you use a roo with brown ear tuft feathers on her or you will get a bunch more just like her... just saying... lot of people here don't believe me, but I have a half dozen just like her, hoping to fix it back with coppering next generation...

The black is NOT an australorp. Could be a cross. The only birds I can think of are Marans, because she sure doesn't look like a langshan; not even a hatchery quality one.

The red one seems to be a Newhampshire red - but I can't be sure as I'm not really familiar with the breed.

I have some black ones that are about six months old. I have heard it can take up to two years, but that is not the sort I am trying to breed for. I want to see copper the first moult if I can, like what AK whatzername posted, (sorry AK, your name is too long! I can never remember it. LOL)
