Wow! Are you thinking of getting more next year? You have runners and pekins right?

Next year I hope to get some Buff Ducks for layers and Pekins for meat. I currently have Pekins, Muscovys and a few crosses.

No, I've never raised Runners.

So did you get them as drakes to eat or was it straight run? I heard pekins and rouens are awesome freezer birds.

I live on a huge farm with no neighbours so the noise shouldn't be a problem, do your lay very well?

I think I'm getting them from Ideal, I'm hoping to import about 200 chicks from there this spring.

Pekins are good meat birds, thats what they are used for. Rouens aren't as easy to pluck because of the darker feathers.
