Who are the noisiest chickens you have?

I have two RIR hens. One is the noisiest hen in the coop, the other the quietest one in the coop. Go figure. 6 others are EE's. Without a doubt, the RIR's' rule the place.

My BR girls chatter all the time but it's not really loud--they don't even sing the egg song...BUT boy, when the RIR lays her egg (She's in the nest for 30min before she actually lays) You can hear her in the house with all the windows going, the dishwasher going and the tv /radio on!! She is very loud!!

Well, I have 2 EE hens atm but they are really quiet for the most part. I never hear the egg song from them. The babies are only 8 weeks old so only peeps still .

Now my old BR Boo tho...my god was she loud. I mean LOUD! She sounded like an old jalopy horn , and when she sang the egg song, she didnt sing the soft rock she sang opera. Lil Red was our RIR and she was a noisy thing too... but not like Boo.

None of mine seem very loud. Even my RIR roo doesn't seem like crows very often. Sure mornings some, and evenings some, and occasionally when something sets him off, but not all the time.

Seems like lately my Redstar pullet has been louder, but I think it's because she's getting ready to lay. I think my Leghorns got louder just before, and then got quieter when they started laying, so...we will see what Queenie does.

its a toss up between my bc maran roos and my delaware hens. my leghorns are pretty noisy but only when they are laying. my barred rocks hardly make a sound even when laying but man those delaware will bust your ear drums.

German spitzhaubens The roo never stops crowing. And the girls do this cross between a squeaky toy and a panic chicken that was left behind by rooster.

One of my New Hampshire Red's is my noisiest, and wants to be the center of attention!

Until yesterday the Houdan would have been my choice - she is goshawful loud and she HONKS!

But yesterday I heard BAWK so loud it got me outside from the kitchen where I was washing dishes!

One of my Delawares - I think she just started to lay - was singing her EggSong so loud & so long I just had to make sure she was okay.
She just stood at the fence & carried on until she was certain EVERYONE knew, then went back to scratching.

It made me laugh & reminded me of the BYCer who quoted her Loudmouth Hen here:
"Look at Meeee! I layed an Egggg!!! It came out my Butttt!!!"
