Who came first : poop or worm ?

I forgot to remove a poop of an ill hen, who has passed away since.
It is now full of white larvae.
Since the poop is on the patio, I wonder : did the worms came after the poop, or was my poor hen infected with worms ?
She had been dewormed, so I also wonder : if a hen is REALLY infected with worms, should we double the dose ?
