Roosters intimidate me. All the ones we ever had when I was growing up attacked me. I have a funny little rooster now but he doesn't have a traditional comb. I forget what it's called...

Yeah, roosters are pretty scary sometimes, but not this one. We have two, and they are both sweet. Do you have any pictures of him?

Gus is super sweet and super huge. For some reason, he also has respiratory problems and “tics”. I really don’t know why.

Yes, all I know about his parentage is that he's half silkie.

He cracks me up. He doesn't look like a traditional rooster in any sense and he's a lot smaller than all his ladies. But he's a nice boy, so I like him.

Really? That’s too bad. He’s (or I guess most likely she) is our neighbors’, and he loves to hang around our female cat, Marie. She isn’t spayed because we were hoping for some kittens, but now it seems it will never happen. Clovis keeps slowly creeping up behind her, so I thought maybe, just maybe, he was a boy.

I didn't remember the numbers so I just looked it up. Only one in 3,000 tortoiseshell patterned cats is a male, so very likely Clovis is a female.
