Who DIDN'T get what they wanted from Santa? What?

That's ok. At least you might be able to use a tea pot and it has a rooster! Carry a bantie in the purse if nothing else!

Well, I'm still single and the Magic Carpenter Fairy didn't show up to fix my house. I guess Santa passed me by this year.

Other than that it was a GREAT Christmas!

I went out to do my chores and found inside my new barn..2 new metal trash cans, broom, dura fork, wheelbarrow. Pretty cool. I hinted for a 2nd goat..so I asked my DH if he realized that the new goat escaped? He played along which didn't help. My DIL was in the woods looking for the "missing goat".

Yes, folks, I think we have entered that other dimension called, "THE TWILIGHT ZONE"

Your lucky husband's bank account.

Lol! Yeah we have opposite roles in our marriage apparently.

OK... we just got done with my husbands side of the family, here at our house.

My SIL handed out gifts to my kids plus one cousin's 2 kids. (The other cousins kids got nothing.) I know it is the thought that counts, but, why would someone get a 4 year old boy a pink plastic bowl that has a straw in it? The price tag still on it, a whole 96 cents. Younger brother got a green bowl. My older 3 daughters each got a $10 gift card to Wal-mart. The gift card is the best gift she has ever gotten them.
Then the cousin's kids got gifts with thought, pj's and a toy.

I don't get it...probably never will. She got me and hubby gloves. Same thing as last year. Still have the gloves from last year in tip top shape, winter to town gloves. I posted earlier that I got winter gloves from my husband too...must be the year for gloves!

I guess, my biggest thing is she doesn't do anything for the kids birthday's either, not even a card.

Oh well, you cannot change people.

Hope others have better luck!

I had a nice day with my parents, brother and DBF. We (DBF and me) don't have much this year but I had worked hard to make gifts. It seemed like everyone liked the gifts I gave, which was a huge relief!

Among other things, I got a Vera Bradley purse. I'm not a huge fan of her stuff and there's no way I can take the purse back (my grandparents live on the other coast). Oh well. This is the 2nd one my grandmother has given me. Last time I waited a month and then sold it on ebay for a nice sum.

Which reminds me... to maximize your ebay sales, don't list anything in the coming month, and now is a great time to purchase people's cast-offs!

It's the one I linked - Mediterranean Blue. Pretty, but not my style. It's hard to shop for loved ones who are 3000 miles away and you see only rarely.

I sent them 3 jars of things I'd canned (plum chutney from my yard, vanilla-peach jam, and brandied mincemeat with apples from my yard). I have a teensy city lot, so producing things from it is quite a feat!
