Hello everyone, Well i am very interested in some Ameraucana Chicks; Wheaten, Blue Wheaten, And maybe white or buff colored Ameraucana chicks along with some Sebastapol geese.....

I am doing some research to search for the best breeder that breeds these varieties( since its soo confusing for me on who to pick
smile.png
). and sell fertile eggs or day old chicks of thier breeding stock........Ameraucanas with great standard and quality, and that lay those nice dark blue egg colors that Ameraucana breeders aim in breeding in.

I am trying to decide what breeder might have really nice chickens with these great qualities, since i do want to pick the best.....i am thinking of several breeders but please if you have a great experience with any, or your Ameraucanas are like those i am looking for please reccomend me them, along by posting pictures of your chickens you got from them, and their eggs.....

I am also looking for some Sebastapol Geese Breeders that sell nice quality goslings or fertile eggs, so if you might know some please do say who....

I appreciate the help, thank you!

Same answer to both questions! Jean (Pips & Peeps) has gorgeous Ameraucanas. If I were to order Ameraucanas, she is the person I'd order from. Ditto Sebastapol geese. She raises those as well.

For wheaten Ameraucanas try Barbara Campbell.
John Blehm and Paul & Angela Smith are 2 breeders I've purchased stock from and and have quality birds.
Go to the Ameraucana Breeders Club website for contact information. They also have a forum there.
There are links to the ABC on my Ameraucana page.

I breed Sebastopol Geese and do selective breeding
and feel mine are very good quality.
I do not sell hatching eggs and have white and
saddleback Sebastopols.
See my website for details.

Peachick would also be a very good source.
I can also refer you to others if you want to PM me.
Kat/Peacheck just started a new Sebastopol forum.
You might find some helpful info there.

What is that comment based on?

I agree many of the breeders on here are members of that club and also have stock from Hollereds.

Well besides that... even if we don't have foundation stock from
Holdrread many of us here have quality birds and do selective breeding.
Quite frankly I found that comment insulting and baseless.
Also Dave H. is not the only breeder of quaility Sebastopols.
Every heard of Audrey Overton from Ohio?
She's been breeding Sebastopols for years and wins on a
national level on both the east and west coast.
End of rant.

Here are a couple of links for you.
One is for Holderreads who have probably the best Sebastapols in the country.

I have to dissagree with this statement. just because they have more birds than anyone else does not make them the best.... they just sell more than anyone else.

The other link is for the Ameraucana club's breeder directory.

I do agree with this. Anytime you want to get into a new breed its best to do your homework and find a KNOWLEDGEABLE breeder to mentor you.

I'd strongly recommend you check these out before you rush into buying from anyone on this board.

Sorry, but I take offence to this. There are many many wonderful breeders on this board.
