Who els ducks do this?

Sometimes you get gotta lay completely flat to get comfortable :lau

I just saw a tree duck do that, lay extremely flat...it appears to have a natural basis and is in fact a move that females and babies will do if a predator flies over in order to minimize their profile while the male continues to stand, and if I guess correctly the male will fly off as a diversion to protect the female. I have seen a female do that for her ducklings in nature as well, momma moves off once she knows babies are hidden.

Of course these are all observations and not proven by me, just things I see.

On edit: my ducks do relax that way as well...one leg or two doesn't matter...lol
