Not so fast hensdeliverthegoods. Theres gonna be a waiting line for her.

She has a huge amount of Chocolate. I'll be your valentine.

sweetshoplady. Won't you be to tired to party on Valentine Day. That's probably like Christmas for you? Hope you sell a ton.

I dated a lady that was the manager of a FannieMae Chocolate store once. I loved it when she took inventory. I got first choice of all the just out of date stuff. To bad her personality wasn't as good as her chocolates.

If SweetShopLady turns me down I'll be spending it with my chickens.

I'll be working Valentine's day. I am a nurse at a Veteran's hospital- so I'll be getting and giving lots of hugs! I love "my guys" and they appreciate EVERYTHING you do for them. Not like most husbands, I'm sorry to say...

Thanks for the reminder. I must get a card sent to my Valentine. My 2-yr-old Grandson. tee hee.

Does he look like a little hillbilly, or what? In his Sunday-go-to-meeting suit and bare feet.

I dont, havent had one in years and I like it.

I do always feel bad for the women at work who either dont have one or their significant other is to cheap to send them something.

Most of them say they dont mind when their desk is bear but I know differently , becuase , when the company was smaller I use to send the ones without something, something. I would watch their faces light up when the delivery person came to thier desk.

If I owned a company I would not allow Valentines day delieveries at the office.

If you don't have a Valentine, how about stepping out to help an elderly person, sick neighbor, or a residence of mentally challenged people (no, I don't mean us here on BYC!). A grocery store bouquet of carnations isn't that expensive and maybe a flower or two could absolutely make someone's day.

I'm going make some special decorated heart cookies to send to my sister who's single and been out of work for a year because all the computer jobs have gone to India, some to give to our neighbor who looks after our chickens when we go away, and some for an elderly lady I do housework for on Saturdays.

Sometimes it feels even better to give than receive.

Valentine's Day is my wedding anniversary. And it's also tax season for us. So we don't do anything that day, and who wants to stand in line for dinner? Blah.

I'd rather just have a nice day, make dinner at home, give each other a kiss and then it's Feb 15th!

BTW - Pipermark - how noble and kind of you to do that for your co-workers.

It's just another moneymaking holiday.

Pelican, He looks like he'd much rather be in jeans and a tee shirt.

Hoosierhen, I sent you a PM, but then I thoought I should post here too. I'm a VA patient and you guys are great. I think I'm gonna send something over to Hines VA Hospital in Chicago. I take it you are from Indiana, do you work at Hines?
