Who else doesn't have a valentine?

Pelican, He looks like he'd much rather be in jeans and a tee shirt.

Rob; I don't think it was the suit as much as it was the "stand still so Mama can take a picture". He's 2! He doesn't have a "stand still" gear.

I've got 7 little valentines in the brooder and another 2 on the way!!

My valentine is Holiday impaired, so I doubt he'll do much to make the day special. He said last month he was thinking about getting me one of those journey necklaces, but decided not to since his s-i-l got one for Christmas and he didn't want to be a copycat. Translation? No bling for Mini.

Drat. I wanted that necklace.

The husband and I don't do anything special for V-Day. However it is an important day for my daughters. They get their favorite breakfast, something special tucked away in their book bags, a special "we love you text" from mom and daddy sometime during the day and a special dinner at home. I love my girls (most of the time...

) Doing Valentines day this way keeps the boys at bay on this emotionally charged day too....

See the ulterior motive??!!

Valentines Day is my Birthday. It's pretty sucky really because all the restaurants are over crowded or booked out. My DH thinks it fun to get me a birthday card that says "Happy Birthday Valentines" thank you Hallmark for thinking of us born on Valentines.

This year will be fun though, we're taking the kids to the Great Wolf Lodge so I'll actually be away from home. Last year we went to Chuck E Cheese, not many people there that night LOL!

I feel you should celebrate your love for one another everyday. Why do we need a special day for it? My husband (of 21 years) and I usually don't do anything. May go out to dinner, but not usually on the day, since it is always so busy, it takes all the fun out of just haveing dinner.
