I'm brand new at raising chickens, and I just received my chicks from Efowl yesterday. I got 8 EE, 6 RIR, and 4 SLW. They are liking their new accommodations, and all of them are doing great, no DOA's in the shipment, and they're all hopping around and eating and drinking. Anybody else get any young'ns?

Here's the unboxing:

And a picture from the brooder:

Please feel free to post pictures and videos of your latest flock additions!

For 2013... Mine start arriving in May this year.. I'll have around 200 or order through several different hatcheries for this spring's shipments
(not counting the hatches and shipments for later in the year).

Nice! Sounds like you have a lot on the way... are they mostly one type? I assume you have a lot of good egg recipes...

My order comes in March 12th area.
I have these coming
3 Easter Eggers
4 Anconas
2 Blue Andalusian
2 Black Australorp
2 New Hampshire Reds
2 Buff Orphington
2 Columbian Wyandotte
2 Rhode Island Red
2 Partridge Rock
2 Silver Laced Wyandotte
1 Golden Laced Wyandotte
2 Barred Rock

I started with 16 last year, but down to 6 due to respiratory infection (spread by wild birds) that killed 7 and 3 to a dog attack.

Wow! I like the variety! What hatchery did you use, I went with EFowl, the service and birds were great, but they have a 5 bird minimum per breed. It would have been cool to pick 1 or 2 each of more breeds. I hope this year is a little less tragic than last year!

I also only ordered 16, and they sent 2 extra just in case. But I haven't lost a single one yet.
