Quick question...I ordered from McMurray Hatchery. I have read some bad reviews about chicks DOA. Should I be expecting dead chicks?

A lot of people receive them alive and well. Just keep an eye on the weather between where you live and where they are located

I am in NC and they are scheduled for March 11th....good or bad? I want all my babies alive.

We got some more chicks today as well, we went with to Tractor Supply and picked em out. Well my wife picked em out, lol, We got 4 Bantams, 2 RIR, 2 White Leghorns. We also have 10 Light Brahmas ordered for March. We love raising chickens, it is a family affair around here.

KBG204 - Most hatcherys send an extra chick in case one dies in transit. I know that McMurray does. In my experience, it's the post office workers being too rough with the package, not the hatchery. If you do have receive dead chicks, call the hatchery.

I got 36 Cornish Roasters on Monday. First of three batches.
