I just got my first chick and duck from my friend. I don't know how old they are. She got them from tractor supply. Are there any treats I can give them sparingly to help them bond?

Not sure about the ducks, but I've been giving mine finely scrambled eggs, and yogurt mixed with their feed as treats.

Ducklings love finely chopped lettuce as a treat, especially if it's sprinkled in their water.

OK I've gotta ?. My newest chicks ( Partridge Rocks and the mystery breeds) are 14 days old. I have seperated the Rocks into the brooder with the 21 day olds. The "Mystery Chicks" that where shipped as males for warmth are in another brooder. Some of them already have distinctive combs and some not. Could that mean that maybe they are not males? They look to be the same breed ( whatever that turns out to be). I will take some pics and see if anybody can guess that chicken.LOL

leghorn hens have a big comb. I am not sure what breed you have.

I AM GETTING SOME TOMORROW OR FRIDAY. I ORDERED THE MEAT BARGAIN. I ALREADY HAVE BARRED ROCKS. I AM ALSO GETTING JERSEY BLACK GIANTS SOMETIME THIS MONTH.
