who else hatches this weekend

Just for kicks and giggles I made an incubator from an old cooler I had. It was a small cooler and when I finished putting it all together, it only held 4 eggs. I had most of the necessary parts and only have like 10 bucks invested in it. I made a slide from cpvc pipe to push and pull the eggs so they would turn. I got 4 eggs from a friend of mine and gave it a whirl. He didnt even know if they were fertile or not but they were free so...Today is day 19 and I have 2 that have started pipping tonight. I have done everthing as I have read maybe all will be healthy...Time will tell..

Mine were supposedly planned out just right. I had coturnix quail eggs due today...they hatched right on schedule. I have chukar partridge eggs that are supposed to be due on Monday that have decided to start hatching today. Then I have some bantam white cornish that are also due on Monday. No action on them yet, but most of them were under a hen. I think the chukars are just bored, after all they do take 23-24 days to hatch. They just wanted to bust out early!

Oh yeah, and my guinea hen decided to hatch this 'weekend' as well....she brought her 8 new babies to the barn to eat this morning

I've got some ringneck eggs due on Wednesday though, we'll see if they hatch early too! I pretty much have hatches scheduled every 2-3 days for the next 2 weeks

I have BBS Orpingtons due to hatch tomorrow (7th) and a few more BBS and Buff Orps due to hatch Wednesday (10th). They are in seperate bators. I'm on pins and needles as this is my first hatch experience.

Welp..Day 20 and I have 3 healthy chicks out of 4 eggs. Not bad for a first timer with a 10 dollar incubator I think. I'm ready for another 4 now....lol...I'm hooked

It's day 21 for me! Yay... although, it's early early on the 21rst day. I didn't put them in until nearly midnight 3 Sundays ago. I haven't seen or heard anything yet but didn't expect to until late Sunday night and probably into Monday. I'll be hovering the bator all day tomorrow I'm sure! Send good hatching vibes my way please.

I had 2 pipps yesterday ( day 20) and 3 more today.

2 of the chicks hatched today - in time- on day 21 - 3 more pipped and are working their way out.
I had to help no 2 with some dried out egg skin - a little water and it hatched
No pips on the last 4 standarts ( day 21 today) and no pips on the shipped bantams yet ( day 20 )

I am keeping my fingers crossed

the standarts are easter egger mixes - daddy is an easter egger moms are all heavy breeds/ egg layers
