Who Else Is Fishing Today??

Pics
well i caught nothing but i tried my hand at leech/crayfish trapping and caught none of them but a lot minnows (not sure what type though...)

anyone do any fishing recently? right now there is no fishing for me (due to a light cover of ice not safe enough to walk on)
but in like a month and half am hoping to start ice fishing which is awesome, mainly the fact that we can catch dogfish/burbot/ling-cod. don't know why but never catch them in the summer only during the winter/spring when there is ice.

but there ugly things but super tasty.

Sadly, no. This year has not been nice to me and I only got out to fish very few times. Only caught 1 fish, little tiny Brooke Trout. Here's to hoping next year will be better??
I've never iced fish, I don't have any supplies or know any friends that do it. I'd love to try though!

if you get enough ice for it to be safe i would say give it a try :)

all you need is one of those hand augers to drill through the ice and heck you can make your own fishing stick/rod thing (i sometimes fish with just a stick and line with a hook and a meal worm)

Can I get some ice here in Texas first? My “babies” say “no, please.” Gotta wait until next February, when we’re all comfy then! (I ❤️ chickens!)

In Nebraska, it tends to get –40°F and then right away skyrocket to 60°F and it's a pain in the butt to deal with. We always have inches of ice everywhere from the constant melting and refreezing. I'll be sure to get out there on one of those –40° days :p;)

i can say i really don't know what that is like. where i live (sask) it gets like -40C (-40f) for a few days and then may get a warm spell of like -20C (-4F) and will not see any nice weather for about 5-6 months now lol.
