Who else is on lock down?

Me, me. Day 19. And OF COURSE the temperature went a little low last night, down to 98 in the incubator.

Very discouraging. I am not hearing anything, but I don't really expect to until tomorrow.

I have six little Serama eggs in there that are on lock down. I did candle them but couldn't see much, except for one clear that I tossed.

The ones I candled did look dark with air sacs, so I think they are full of chick. I hope so anyway.

And then there are some showgirl/silkie eggs that are about ready to go right after the Serama eggs finish.

I start my 3 day wait tomorrow. I still have 2 more hatch dates to go. Can't wait until this session is over. I want to get my bator cleaned up so I can start the EE's i've located. No shipping eggs here this time. I have had very little luck with the shipped eggs. I lost all the Quail which only 3 hatched out of the 17 eggs. One died before it pipped and the rest where not fertile. I sure hope I get a couple turkeys out of the 8 eggs I have and a couple of the silkie mixes out of the 7 eggs and hopefully a couple of the silkie and polish out of the ones that are to hatch in 3 days.

The EE's I plan to pick up and put in the bator the same day. No getting bounced around in the box from shipping.

My last 3 barred rock hatched out yesterday. Now I have to wait 19 more days for the pheasants to hatch. This is the first time for pheasants. Wish me luck.

Day 20 for me and I already see a few are pipping and can hear faint cheeping.
32 ameraucana eggs in there and I'm hoping to get 12 normal chicks because of temperature spikes. Just now I checked and the temp was 102

I had trouble all along to regulate the temp and am worried about deformaties.........

I don't mean to be dumb, but I did not realize that temp problems could cause deformities.

I knew they could die, but never knew they could be deformed.

Well, you have something if you hear cheeping.

I have had more trouble with low temps than high temps.
