I assume I'll be hatching between Sept 7th & Sept 17.

The First Hatch of the New Season!

I had already told everyone that I had my last hatch this season. That was before DH bought me the new incubator & hatcher. So, to compensate for my erroneous statement... I just decided to start the "new season" a little early!

Anyone care to join me?

Me! This will be my first attempt at a hatch ever...

Bought my first eggs off ebay, hope they hatch!

I have a set coming from ebay, and 2 sets coming from BYCers... several different breeds/species.
This will be my first hatch in the cabinet incubator. I just put them in and I'm done - should be so much easier. Before I was using a still air LG and hand turning the eggs.
What type of incubator are you using... and what kind of eggs did you get off ebay?

By my calculations, you should have some hatchlings around Sept. 6/7, Sept 9/10, and then again on Sept. 19/20. These are the ones I know of anyway

This is provided that the p.o. doesn't take forever to get them to you

Im placing eggs in bator Friday....first batch, ebay eggs...bad experience...so going to try again....this time with my own as a trail run

I have a broody hatching for me. She started setting on the 18th. Just 4 cuckoo maran X BCM eggs.

Any peachicks this time around Paganbird? My daughter LOVES peacocks and has been trying to get me to hatch some. I can't have them in the city though - too loud. I am however decorating my new addition to my house around two antique light fixtures that have peacocks on them.

yes, I had the ones I hadnt put in yesterday....I got busy, and didnt put them in, then I checked my eggs found them cracked...so good thing...I have the 7 from yesterday...and also another so far 5 today...Mabelline just laid her MAUVE color egg, been waiting all day for it and she cracked it! when it hit the nest box...

She is one I really want to hatch..Jewels hasnt laid yet today still waiting she does daily. and Im getting Ma's tomm...so Im starting my bator friday night...have time yet...for mine to lay again.

Well, I put two eggs from my quail in today....if they lay anymore I will be setting at least a couple this weekend.

(Yep, I am excited. They are quail eggs but my FIRST eggs from my birds!)

I am going to be putting some cochin eggs in the bator tomorrow...I should be getting some more by next week too.

I'm not sure if I will have my eggs (actually being sent to my 10 yr old son thanks to renegaderidgefarm and ILOVEFRIZZLES.. Y'all are awesome!!!) on Saturday or Monday but I will be right there with ya in my new homemade bator! WOO HOO!!!!!
