Yeah, thought I'd try to keep the title updated.
Today was day 10 for the peas, so I candled them again.
2 still clear and 2.... blood rings.
I guess I'm not supposed to have any more peas this year.
Well, I was upset, so I candled the rest of the eggs to bring up my spirits.
I still have one (of 2) guinea eggs showing veining. (The other is still clear.)
Both ?duck? eggs have not only veining, but avid movement! DH says he's pretty sure they're ducks (not chickens) because of how much they're swimming around in there!
20 (out of 20) cortunix eggs have veining. I was able to see movement in several of them.
I had a hard time seeing the buttons... mostly just full of chick, I guess, so I didn't candle all of them.
Now to the eggs that were damaged horribly in shipping:
I ended up so far with 3 bloodrings, one stink bomb, and 7 clears.
That leaves me with:
2 cracked eggs and 7 uncracked eggs - ALL with varying degrees of damage to aircells. Of the remaining 9 eggs...
all show movement!
I have 2 mille fleur d'uccle (one cracked/patched), 2 LF salmon faverolles, 2 LF "ameraucanas" (EE- one cracked in 2 places with a connecting crack girthing the egg), 1 blue polish, 1 white crested black polish, and 1 silver penciled polish.
Wish me luck on those chicken eggs... They'll need all the luck they can get!
