Who else is setting... I wanna see pics!

Well, today is day 15 for the buttons. I was told buttons take 16 days... up to 19. The cortunix are supposed to take 18 days.
I hope something hatches soon, or I won't have room to put the chicken eggs where I want them!
No pips yet. I guess that's okay, though. I've been working & had a rough weekend. Seems I'm either working, running kids around, or sleeping. I actually took 15 minutes from my "sleep time" this morning to eat something!
I just told the button eggs to, "have at it!" simce I'm awake now. They just sat there.

Ive got one chick peeping in HER shell, no pips though, but i candled them, and two had broken thru the air membrane, but how long can they survive without air? He has been peeping for prob several hours off and on.

Im Afraid... hehe.

It's supposed to be about 16 days for hen hatched eggs, 15 days for incubator eggs. But I have read on here many times lately of people having buttons hatch at day 18 or later, I don't know what's up with that!

what a day, my temps had risen to between 100.7-101.7...tried to get them down...finally ended up putting 1/2cc syrgine of water, and that got the temps back down to 100.0

They went up when I took out the 11 bad eggs two days ago...leaving 30 good ones. I guess taking those out, was less surface to cover in the bator and also the change in yolk in the eggs, minus the eggs taken out...losing that fluid also.

I hadnt had a problem at all with temps until then. Im back to normal and 3 more days until I stop turning...woo hoo....anyone else having these problems? or had them before??/ If so how did you correct it.

I am and this is my first time. I am so nervous and excited at the same time. I just set them in today. Good luck on yours.

No pips yet... now they'll have to hold out until I get off work in the morning.

My opinions is

1. Yes
2. Sure if you want, but it doesn't matter that much... just preference
3. Yes, I do. Why waste space in the incubator for non-developed eggs?

Good luck on your hatch!! Keep us updated

Sooo. How long do I leave coturnix eggs in before I take them out? There are 2 left in the bator. Tues was day 14 which means that today is day 18. No pips, no zips, no action.

Both showed about 85% darkeness when candled on lockdown day so I know there is something in there. Just wondering about anybody else's experience? If they're not coming out will the egg just rot and weep? or what?

Thanks
