So far I'm noticing a slight pattern with the mine that are pipping and peeping. The smaller eggs are the first that have started, I reckon it's because they don't have as much room in the shell?

my one baby was out of the smallest egg in the incubator that I honestly didn't even think would make it to hatch, I'm more or less testing my pullet eggs to see if they'll hatch before I decide to send any out, if I get a 100% hatch then I might finally get to participate in 'the crazy egg chain' lol

Im keep telling myself, this is like whe you went into labor...it took some time, you sat and waited before you went to the hospital...then you got there, and again, had to sit and wait...

so you heard pip...you got excited...knew the babies were coming....you saw rocking...so you loaded up and headed for the hospital....now there quite and its several hours later...this is like being in the hospital between contractions...you wait and you rest...sleep if you can...sit and wait...its gonna happen.....its only day 20, your not due...your ok...just wait...and wait...and WAIT...and...W.A.I.T

Im gonna go nuts

Well, two did it by themselves and the wedged in third got some help, he wasn't going anywhere. All appear fine. Now I can go run errands and let peewee think about kicking out of the last of his shell.

I didnt want to go over night to my mother in laws as I had gone into lockdown..I was afraid I would miss it, and boy Im so glad I did go!!!! She bought me a Americaunana, a white one!!! He is gorgeous...She got this deal and drove all the way to Austin to get him and one for her....She is so sweet!!!!

My babies were homebirthed too! WTG, mama! My DH keeps congratulating me on my midwifing skillz when it comes to the chickies.

I'm loving all the pips and chickie pics!! I know that I promised some too earlier in the thread so here we go. I had 4 babies born early yesterday morning from my coturnix eggs. Sadly one died about 12 hours after birth from spraddle leg...I tried to splint it with the bandaid method, but he just couldn't get the hang of it.

I'm still giving the rest of the eggs a few more days, but I'm happy with the 3 to start.

I did have a temp spike and my incubator is just a homemade still air.
