Who else is setting... I wanna see pics!

Seramas went on lock-down this evening... hoping for another 100% hatch in the next few days! Just hatched out nine out of nine chicks two days ago - I LOVE my R-Com 20 Pro!

I'm so sorry that the guinea didn't hatch for you, they are funny like that sometimes.

I not only have eggs in the bator, my bator is completely full! Plus I have some on standby. I'm expecting some guinea eggs and eggs from the September swap on Monday hopefully, and a friend of mine is going to take those and my welsummers eggs (maybe) that I got from bargain and hatch them for me. Hopefully when these are done I can stop

farrier! :

My Brahma's are due in a few days and some ducks next week.....and a few more ducks in 2 weeks.
The quail laid 3 eggs the other day so they went in.......

How do you manage different hatch dates in one bator or do you have more than one.

I have a misc. hatch the next two days (3) and seramas 9 or 10 due FRIDAY with additional test eggs about then.... omg... trying so hard not to freak, they're my first serama hatch.

LOL the problem with found eggs. Went to candle and turn the eggs due later this week only to get one totally ticked off PEEEEEEEPPPPPP at me.

Okay junior, you move to the hatcher... sigh... chuckle.

That's the third in this group, that were ahead of the main batch. Hens stagger too.

It use to be I had one incubator for a hatcher and one for incubating. Then the quail eggs started coming...

So lately I have been moving shipped eggs in with the quail to hatch. The quail seem very happy with the change in humidity. Still hatch out great.
The duck eggs just seemed so big and I have some red quail due the same day. So I will have chicks, then ducks then ducks again in the non quail incubator.
I just bump the humidity up, hand turn 3-5 times a day. When they pip I may not turn the incubating eggs for 6-12 hours.

I do try to candle at 10-15 days to remove bad eggs.

ETA..."lockdown" for me ends up being upping the humidity and going to only turning eggs 3 times a day.

Farrier that's basically it here too. Too often hens have hidden and started eggs - shame on them, so I get staggers from my own eggs frequently enough that I now candle more than I normally would trying to catch those few in a batch that some evil hen pre-started.

It's a lot simpler with shipped or single source eggs.

But I've gotten used enough to staggering that I compensate and go on. LOL. I just bumped humidity in Darthbator because of the three that are early, the seramas not due til Fri, and a few test sizzle eggs after that. (yes, couldn't help myself).

The eggs in the Redwood Goliath are due around Friday - but they're found eggs, they hatch when they hatch.
