Wow - need to show that cabinet bator to my hubby. We have some solid wood cabinets that we removed and are sitting in our garage. I think one of them would make a nice bator.
I think he would have a caniption fit though if I hatched that many eggs at once.
I will get some pictures tomorrow of the broodies with the chicks - its real cute.
The broody with the 7 chicks that are around 6 weeks old left them in a huddle on the floor and decided to roost tonight without them. Only one chick made it up on the roost with her
They look so lost without their mommy.
Baby oil worked wonders with the fly strip and she only lost a few down feathers. She is oily now and will probably collect some dust. Better than the fly strip. I have the feeling that she was trying to eat some flies on it and pulled it down.
