Who else is totally grossed out by FAT????

Fat=bleck. I don't notice it in bacon or hamburger, but in STEAK?!!? Nothing should get in the way of my yummy steak! Marbled steak is the evil lord in the realm of steak. Either way, fat is awful!!

I eat pretty lean meat all the time. I don't usually deal with much fat anyway except the bacon which we have almost every morning.

It's nice to know that if we were all on a ship and stranded in the middle of the ocean, most of you wouldn't choose me as a "prime cut!!!"

I do like my cuts of red meat to be "marbled" a bit- but no huge globs.

I can't eat big chunks of fat in steak but the marbling in the meat itself is fine. I love bacon (haven't eaten it in a while, though).

Yep I have a tiny jar of the best bacon fat in the fridge.
Ugh I never knew about the 'grease pot' some folks keep in the cabinet. We were at DH's aunties home, playing hide & seek with 3 yr old son's new stuffed dino toy, stupid me stuck it in a pot in the cabinet.

I keep the bacon grease/fat in the fridge for home fries and eggs. I like steak with marbleing but as soon as the chicken, pork steak hits my plate I have to cut off that huge piece on the edge. The fiance likes it and if he doesn't get it I give it to the outside cat. (Dog doesnt get pure fat. Not good for the animals.)
Is it me or is chicken fat the worst. I about gag when I miss it and eat it!!!!
 
I am all for good fat, but for me that comes in the form of nuts and avocado, olives... not the cholesterol, icky chewy, slimy, gummy meat stuff.

"Jack Spratt could eat no fat" ... nor can I .......... makes me gag! which is why I only eat meat that I prepare and cook myself...... otherwise I go vegetarian anywhere else.........no fat for me. yak fat!!!!
