Who else is waiting for that first egg?

Personally, I keep mine out of the fridge. They never hang around long in our house...continually looking for new recipes!

Good point! We've been saving ours this week, because I'm going to make a big production of making our first breakfast with them, but going forward, I'm sure they will go quickly!

I too have been looking for egg recipes. Here are some that I came across...

Got our first egg last night at 22.75 weeks old from one of the Hamburgs. It was small, and without a shell or yolk, but it's ok she's trying. Any idea when she might lay again or start laying "normal" eggs?

First egg today from my isa's. 18 weeks and 1 day old. So tiny, beautiful brown coloring and the shell is perfect. Now hoping the other 11 will start also!

My RIR ( I have 7) are about 20 weeks old and one laid her first egg yesterday. I'm so excited...but she didn't lay again today!!

My first egg day happened this week on Wednesday. I later found out my first egg turned into my Second! 2 ladies decided to lay their first eggs on the same day! Im on day 4 now and have already collected 7 eggs! They even use the nest box! I'm a Happy chicken lady to say the least!
