Who else is waiting for that first egg?

Found our first egg from one of our younger ones. The other 3 came from our GCs. Of the younger ones, the one who looked closest to laying was one of our EEs. The new small egg is kinda cream colored. She can still lay blue green eggs right?

Got our first one last night! Under the nesting boxes, but I will not complain!!! Whatever works! My girls are 21 weeks:)

The places they will find to lay are interesting sometimes. We have some girls that were free rangers and now are in a 10X10. I have found eggs in the box, under the box, in the feeder. One of them built a nest into the ground behind a cage I keep in there which some seem to prefer to the boxes. It can be an Easter Egg hunt at times but so much fun.

Red comb, squatting, checking out the nest boxes, encouraged by the young cockerel of the same age, five months, and she's even getting friendlier, but no chocolate egg yet. (Silver Cuckoo Marans)

My Australorps are 21 weeks old now! And still NO eggs...I have 2 that really look like ready. I had a little talk with them today....We'll see if it helps....lol

Now at 24 weeks no eggs

The weather is not so hot now I was hoping we would see some action but nothing

Got our first egg today have 3 cream legbar one EE one OE think it was one of the Cream Legbar. They were all hatched mid to late May so I was surprised.

I've got several who have turned red. A few who are practicing the egg song and a couple who are kicking the golf balls out of the nest boxes and nesting them on the floor.

They are all coming up on 22 weeks old, so starting tomorrow they will not be allowed to free tame until late in the day.

It's getting close.

That's what I'm thinking, I won't let them out to free range until later in the day.... it's got to be close...lol
