Who else takes their hens on walks?!

Love this. You've just reminded me I have a cat stroller in the garage. May have to roll out some chickens this summer.

I've definitely taken both my cats and my tiny dog for stroller walks in my neighborhood. It was all fantastic until a homeless individual began harassing me at the park about how dumb it was. And why didn't I want human babies. Made me feel super uncomfortable and sad enough that I haven't done it since.

Just do it! Who cares what that homeless person thinks? They choose to pick on you and your pets? Who’s the loser in the situation! :old

It's not that I care what he thinks, but I felt very unsafe walking there anymore as he cornered me away in a secluded spot. I had really bad anxiety at the time anyway, so I just opted out of the whole exercise. That park is a known homeless encampment so I just let them have it.

I understand. Many parks are full of homeless, jobless people. I’m thinking that the government is lying to us saying that the economy is improving, as we see more people destitute! :( There are good people in bad situations there too.

I have 2 chicken harnesses and leashes. But I haven't had any tame chickens to out them on yet... But now I have 2 sweeties I can do it when they grow bigger!

Hi! I am very sorry to hear about that happening. I usually don't like to go on walks unless I have someone else with me just in case.
Is there anywhere else you can go? I have taken my chickens to parks but I usually like to go through neighborhoods that are within walking distance.

Hi!!

I would love to hear how the leashes work out, I have tried constantly to get my hen to use it but she absolutely can't stand it. Hope your cute little chickens will like it more than mine :)

Well I would like to update about my hens as well. Sadly since the last post I have lost one hen, leaving me with two now.

I still have Eddie, who is 9 years old and arthritic, and Dev who is either 7-8 years old and has just started laying eggs again!

I have taken them to parks and local walks and they love it! I even just took them to a hotel this past weekend... I couldn't have left them at home :lau
