Who else talks to eggs in the bator??

HI guys

I think I've finally lost it

I'm talking to the eggs that I put in the incubator.

Anyone else do this ?

I talk to the eggs under my broody, but she usually ends up growling at me.

OF COURSE!!! I even sing to them

There my babies!!! And sometimes they even peep back. There probably saying "shut up crazy lady"

i do this too when i unpack,check 'em and turn the eggs. I figure they need attention too! since they are living things - just not as developed as their larger brother and sisters outside.

I talk to them off and on through the entire incubation.
And again when they are hatching.

And when we were driving to my sister's house with a box of our chicks, they answered whenever I spoke. No answer if DH or the kids talked, just to my voice only. It was like I had a peep chorus. Cutest thing ever!

And it happened again when I took the pullets & cockerals to a show later in the year. They'd be in the back, and they'd respond when they heard my voice.

We do it too! Everyone in the family who walks by or checks on them ended up talking to them or singing to them. and they DO peep back!

We all talk to them, it helps that my sportsmans in the living room.
