Who feel asleep before midnight?

I was in bed at 11. I usually am.

11:30 fell asleep. Woke up at 1:30AM as usual

Fell asleep long before that, dahlings.

I woke up, however, at midnight when it felt like the world exploded (*grumble snarl*, blasted pool people with a basment full of explosives).

I was seriously suprised the neurotic rooster didn't crow.

We live in a quiet neighborhood, so no big fireworks or shabangs. I sat up talking to my big sis 'til 1:30, which I probably would have done regardless of New Years.

My Father was sometimes "quite a Joker".

Once, when I was going to a high-school dance, he said that he wanted me to be in bed by 10 PM.

I said that was "unrealistic".

He replied, " I want you in bed by 10 PM so you can make it home by Midnight!"

I fell asleep putting grandson to sleep and woke up well into 2010...

As I correctly guessed, the New Year would come whether I was conscious for it or not. So I wimped out and fell asleep on the couch just after I swore up and down I wouldn't fall asleep watching a movie. We did a round of fireworks though just before that happened. I guess it was midnight somewhere in the world when I did that.
