Who Has A Sun Conure

Not that noisy in the morning and evening they are a little squeaky but not a eight of what a sun conure does i got them at 8:30 pm today and boy were they sqawkin when i got them but they are really nice and sweet tame and loving

but with lovebirds they are a little but not that bad

These responses have great information! Just remember that Sun conures can live 30+ years... do you have a plan for your bird if you go to college? You probably won't be able to take him or her if you ever get an apartment to live in. The bird might live until you are over 40.... if you plan on having a family someday, will there be a conflict over the bird and a newborn? Things to think about!! These are some of the common reasons there are so many parrots in rescue groups right now.

I am surprised that they would be very tame. They looked like breeder birds to me. I noticed a nesting box inside the first picture of them. You should probably separate them into 2 different cages if you want them to remain tame. All birds attract to each other, before they will even attempt to attract to humans, and you are probably going to school by now, so you would most likely end up with a pair of breeders, if you don't separate them.

Just my $0.02. Good Luck, and I hope they are everything you wished and more!

They are i love them and i am aware that they live 30+ i did a lot of research before i decided to get them

and yes they were breeder birds they bred about 3 months before i got them so they had babies at the time that pic was taken i don't plan to breed them for myself until about march or 2013 so i have a long time before baby birds come into my life

Sassy Ann is a Sun Conure/Nanday Hybrid. As you can see she is a very loving bird. She demands attention and her voice will rattle the glass dishes in the kitchen. While she can make a lot of noise, she can not speak words. She is extremely territorial. She loves me and anybody else in the room better watch out. And her aggression extends to other birds. If I'm not in the room she is much easier to get along with. The pet-sitter has no problem with her so long as she is the only person in the room.

I'm not sure of Sassy Ann's history as her original owner died a few years before I got her. She was given to me with the name of Andy, and her foster mom was positive this bird was a male.

Well Sassy Ann proved her wrong by laying eggs and becoming broody. Of course her eggs were not fertile, but she weaved a neat looking nest made of her yarn/string toys. However, she laid her eggs on the floor of the cage and never actually sat on them.

As you can see Sassy Ann has plenty of personality, and demands to be the queen of my heart.

Well that's funny and now that my suns have setled in they are VERY VERY LOUD and my 2 gsd inside dogs that walk buy a lot by their cage they scream at the gsds but my whole family loves them

well I'm home school so no problem for me about that and if i do go to collage i have 3 others sisters and 1 brother and one brother that should be here Dec 10 so I'm sure someone will take care of them while I'm at work these are some good things to think about and i will make sure to think about them and truly think about them
