Who has had 100% hatch?

I am still learning and wondered who has had a 100% hatch or close to it?

How long had you been incubating when it happened?
What kind of incubator did you use?
What temperature and humidity plan did you follow?
Where did you get your eggs? Were they shipped?
Did they hatch on time?

My hatch isn't going so well and just wanted to compare what everyone else has been doing. Thanks.

I think I have been VERY fortunate. I finished hatching for my very first time and feel like I have had excellent results. I set 10 mallard eggs-10 hatched. I set 8 silkie cross eggs-7 hatched. I set 20 Muscovy eggs, 2 weren't fertile, 2 were early quitters and. The 16 left hatched(which is VERY good for Muscovies).

I used a Hova bator 2362N, I hand turned
Temp 101, I kept one trough full of water and paid no attention to humidity until 3 days before hatch when I got it up to 65 for the silkie crosses and 70-72% with the ducks.

None of my eggs were shipped, some were mine, some I bought locally.

Yes they hatched on time. They pipped a night before their due date and hatched on their day or a day later.

I di ALOT wrong so unfortunately I think sometimes it s just luck. I hope your hatch goes ok, don't give up!

I have a friend who has a hen that hatched 15 out of 15 eggs she was sitting on this spring.

I use a sportsman. I have had a couple perfect hatches from shipped eggs, but that is very few and far between.

I just used an LG without a turner for a staggered hatch. First we had 4 Black Stars hatch after a week (mom left nest), then 9 cochin and 1 Red Star- everybody hatched from 1 day early to 1 day late. They were eggs from my hens that I collected over 2 weeks.

I used the cheap thermometer that came with the bator, and bougt another thermometer/hygrometer from the hardware store.

Humidty was about 40% during first 18 days- give or take a few days when we had tons of rain and it spiked to about 65%. Then I brought it up to about 70% and stopped turning.
Temps were between 99-100F.

I candled at days 8 & 18- and the late ones on day 22 to see if they internally pipped.

I also rotated the eggs to different parts of the bator- in case there were any cool spots.

The hardest part- waiting! Good luck!

I only have had one , I set 1 egg and that 1 egg hatched.

Over the last 50+ years I have had many 100% hatches. Some were in commerical type incubators where there were up to 5000 eggs placed weekly. But many were in L G incubators.
I consider any 100% hatch to be a full 100%er when all the ferile eggs hatch.
I use the dry method for incubating 30% humidity for the first 18 days then raise the humididty to 58%.
The temp is kept at 100 degrees.
My own eggs. Can't ever remember a 100% with shipped eggs.
Most hatched between day 19 and 22.

I have had 100% hatches from my own hatching eggs and from shipped. The last shipped that I had that happen was in Jan. of this year.

I used an old Lyons Transparent Hen and a Hova circulated air #1583.

i mainly hatch quail but i get alot of 100% hatches with my own eggs shiped eggs usually less incubator is a gqf 1202

I've had a batch that hatched out 100%. But then again, I've had hatches that I haven't changed a thing and the hatch rate was bad. I think its the luck of the draw.

Most eggs that I hatch are my own. I use a homemade incubator that has been running non-stop since November. Yes, I have a problem.

Humidity is around 35-40% days 1-18 and then 65-ish% for day 19-21. Temp in the water wiggler has been around 100.

The only difference that I have noticed in my hatch rates is freshness of the eggs. The fresher the better, but I have had old eggs hatch too. I guess it is just what you expect to achieve by hatching. This last batch, I had eggs that people wanted and then I got stiffed on. By time I got to set them, the oldest was almost three weeks old. (I started to rotate out the old ones with new ones as I was waiting) I just thought instead of throwing out the old ones, I'd try it and see. About 60% were developing and of those 75% hatched. I was quite impressed. Now I have chicks that will go to good homes and enjoyed by others instead of filling up the landfill.

Not everybody is going to get 100% everytime. We all strive to get there and thats good. But realisticly, every hatch is different. Enviromental changes has an effect. There are so many factors that come into play. All you can do is your best and let the chicks hatch as they will.
