Okay I know I need to stop looking and again not actually gonna buy but this horse sounds literally perfect in the description, almost too good to be true? And is it me or does that drop from his shoulders/withers to his back look pretty huge? And he looks slightly skinny? Maybe not though. Idk. But most importantly, is it just me or do his feet look really overgrown? Especially in like the 5th pic

His feet are long, but just need trimming. He actually has withers! Photos are amazing, though; he looks like three different horses, depending on his stance and the camera angle. I like him in the first picture, and then blame the photographer. His description sounds great, if true. Who knows?

That's good to know they can be fixed with just a trim! Kind of weird they didn't notice though. So the withers thing is good then? I still need to learn more. And yeah, he really does look totally different in some of the pics! Can't tell he has a blaze at first either. And yeah, he does sound perfect and really well trained. I'm sure he probably does know that stuff but idk, I'm just always a little cautious when someone says their animal, whether a horse or dog or whatever, is perfect and extremely trained and calm and has no issues at all. Sure it could be true but if I'm cautious then maybe I'll be pleasantly surprised. If not, won't be disappointed lol

He sounds lovely. If I were shopping I would want to see front and rear conformation shots of him and I would want to see a video of him.

Has anyone mentioned pre-purchase exams in this thread? I think that is a definite must for anyone just starting out.

Good point about the conformation shots and video! I never would habe thought of that!!

And I'm not sure if it was mentioned or not but I have heard of it and knew it was important but wasn't entirely sure what specifically it entailed or tested for so thanks for the article, I'll read it later.

If I didn't early on, I should have! I'm not sure if the OP is actually shopping, or just window shopping! :D Mary

Just window shopping. For now. :D
