Who has still air Hova Bator

I have a Hova Bator with turner. The first hatch I had 4 out of 12 hatch, one died two days later. My second hatch I had 2 out of 12 hatch. I have considered adding a computer fan, which I heard would work, but have decided it is probably cause I had the eggs shipped from out of state (1300 miles).

I have had good and bad hatches with them. Part of the trouble was that often what I incubated were old eggs my customers did not buy.

What temps are you guys all using with your still airs?

We put a computer fan in our Hovabator and the fan itself got too hot and we couldn't get temp below 106 degrees. So we took it out and it stabilized again. Yesterday I ordered the actual fan kit that is made for the Hovabator. I paid $28.95 for it at IncubatorWarehouse.com. I am using the Hovabator now as a back-up to my new Brinsea. I have 3 eggs in it that wouldn't fit in the Brinsea. I want a fan so I can use it as a hatcher/chick dryer. Last hatch the first guy out spent the day zipping a another egg's pip that wasn't ready. We almost lost the chick. So this time, if the first guys out decide to do some OB/GYN work on the pips I can pull their fuzzy butts out and put them in Hovabator jail. I am not too worried about opening the Brinsea quickly to remove a chick because the temp and humidity recover so fast!
