Who has weird phobias?

Chronomentraphobia: fear or dislike of clocks or timepieces. I don't wear watches, I don't have visible clocks at home or in my classroom. I have a piece of tape over the corner of my screen so I can't see the clock there. I check my cell phone when I want to know what time it is and I also have a clock made for the blind that will announce what time it is verbally.

My biggest fear....would have to be small places. I hyperventilated....(sp?) And I know....that makes it worse....but someone is going to be breathing all the air!??

Like in an elevator!

Electric appliances.....well...just plugging them in. Just thinking of it makes my hands sweat...and we all know wet hands and electricity dont work! LOL
Spiders...of course..Oh jeesh..I freak!!
Im getting better about bridges...used to be that when I had to cross a bridge, I had to unbuckle my seat belt...and unlock the door....window down. I guess I am just one messed up person...wow, seeing it in writeing...makes it worse! LOL

One thing really.... BALLOONS! I will cry hysterically with tears and sobbing and hyperventilating. Can not be near balloons. At my sons birthdays I only make a few tables with them on for the kiddos but I will not go anywhere near those tables. My whole family laughs at me and says I am so dumb to be scared of them, but I can't help it. My brothers tried helping me over come my fear one year by hand cuffing me and rubbing balloon all over me!!! AHH! That did not go well at all, fainted from the hyperventilating.... ok, I will be quiet with my weird fear now.

Hehe..when I lived in L.A. I had a problem being UNDER bridges at any time or in elevators. Always thought an earthquake would hit just when I needed it NOT to...

Ok, this being a phobia thread, I just HAVE to ask LOL........How many of you watch the show Monk?

It's one of my favorites! My family is always harassing me about "being just like Monk" because I'm like wicked ocd...

I have an irrational darkness fear. I'm 32 years old, and terrified of the dark. There are 11 nightlights in my house. I WILL NOT go outside by myself at night.

I get the crazy feeling if I look behind me there will be some horrible beastie or something behind me.

Sad, but true.

We recently upgraded the nightlights because my husband was convinced they were running up the electric bill.

Now we have the fancy sensor ones that are like dusk to dawn lights. They're a lot brighter, too.

I know, wierd. Can't help it.

Mangled.. I do not like the dark either... many nightlights here as well. I have the flat glowy ones, and they let off more light that I could have imagined.

I run outside at night, if I go out to check on the chicks in the garage. (5 feet to the garage door from the house's back door) lol.. I bet I look like that chicken Forest!
