Um maybe, maybe not we saw changes when we switched around three weeks of FF but it is more of costs going down and them foraging more and being less hungry. They weren’t sitting at feeders all day. One of our hens we got from a friend had been attacked by a dog and over mated so she did get better feathers and things like that. Also, how long would say it might take to see the benefits of feeding FF? I've been feeding FF for 2 weeks and have seen no changes in feathers, feather regrowth, poop, or anything. Am I being impatient?
Fermenting is supposed to solve the waste problem, not create it. Photos of what your FF looks like when you're serving up to your birds? The fines should be mixed in and sticking to the grains.I am pretty new to FF and am fermenting Scratch & Peck whole grain layer feed. I am finding that the fermented powdery fines in the feed go uneaten, and therefore I feel like I am wasting a lot of feed. Is there something I can do to remedy this, or do I just have picky hens?
IMO there's no benefit other than reduced feed waste and maybe increased palatability. They don't magically grow more feathers or anything. Also, how long would say it might take to see the benefits of feeding FF?
