I'm still very much a 'newbie' to photography and am still learning my camera. Making lots of mistakes, but learning from them!
I mostly shoot photos for reference, since I am primarily a painter.

Nicola are those magpies? Very neat birds whatever they are. Nice pics.

Oldchick, great shots of the ant! Love close ups.

Nambroth fantastic shot of the hummingbird. They are soooo hard to catch so nicely. I never heard of a hummingbird clearwing moth before, very cool. Lots of nice shots.

Today for lack of anything else to shoot I decided once again to try to get some good pics of one of my furniture ornaments (aka, worthless lazy cat) and for some reason she acutally cooperated and I got a few very nice shots. Here's my favorite, as you can see she works real hard around here.

Yes the grey and white birds are a pair of baby magpies, they are starting to get their adult black feathers in instead of the baby grey

The bright bird in the tree is an Eastern Rosella, and the Furry thing in the yard

Is a Common Brushtail Possum, very very different to the American possum.

It is a Canon 60D. It's my first new SLR camera! I used to mess with an old, used film SLR but was too intimidated by the film and developing costs to experiment as much as I needed to.
