Who here is into Photography?

Thanks guys for the compliments. I had a great time that day at the park and I am planning to go again this weekend if all things work out.

"I love moss covered trees, and will miss those so much when we move up north next month" dkvart1, I wish you good luck on your move but I will have to say that anywhere that spanish moss does not grow will be WAY to cold for me.

babyrnlc, What a great looking flock. Your pics are great! I really love the Cornish hen.

Cherokee, Nice shots and Slade is PRECIOUS!!

TomG, Absolutely beautiful shots. I love the second pic of the fly. BEAUTIFUL!

but can't take my good camera when trying to walk two dogs, especially when one nearly outweighs me! And DSD has my pocket point and shoot, so... tomorrow DH will be home, he's getting dog walking duty, I'll head out ahead of them and set up my tripod and try to get some nice shots of the moon just as the sky starts to lighten. Maybe I'll get lucky and catch a deer too. I always see them when I am without the camera!

Oh and missed an incredible shot of clouds and rays on my way to gas station... have got to start having a camera on me at ALL times!

I have not had much time lately, but I love taking pics. My favorites are of my flowers I grow in the yard. I need to start taking pics of the chicks.

The pics on here are great. I will load some of mine soon. First I need to finish my coop!

I sometimes also take photos of the scale models I make, my goal is to try to photograph as if I was in the model itself. I make everything in the photos by hand from clay and wire with different materials used for the foliage. Depending on how intricate I need to be I use hand cut paper for palm fronds, natural preserved foliage cut and shaped (by hand which can take days per tree) and then airbrushed the colors I need and for very big leaves I use clay. Here are a few photos of some of the models, the scale is 1:22, which means every inch on the model is 22 inches in life. I use several different sculptors for the animals, I do some and I have 3 professional sculptors who help me with others, but all of the landscaping is artificial and done by me in my workshop.

Here are some tropical Indian plants for the river scene I am working on

This is a pair of wreathed hornbills on the same diorama

Since palm trees are some of my favorite plants I make a lot of them

Here is a scene from my African diorama, it is a pair of yellow backed duiker and a pack of wild dogs killing a Nile lechwe

After I create the canvas backgrounds and light the models the photos will look a little better, but it is what I do when there is a lot of snow and I can't get outside

Yes, it's to scale. It is a southern ground hornbill which is the largest species of hornbill standing a little over 4 and 1/2 ft tall. I have several other birds, when the model is finished I will have over 50 species and 200 individual birds between the Indian and African models. Here is a photo of a golden pheasant that a friend had made, it is to the same scale and was done by one of the best bird sculptors in Japan, he has done about a dozen of my birds but he has retired and no longer sculpts.

I make or can have made all sorts of birds in 2 scales, 1:12 and 1:22 and I have about 65 individual birds for the dioramas now.
