sparkles, the pic of the petals on the lake is beautiful!! They are all nice but I think that one is my favorite.

Diamond Peahen, I really like The Icepocolypse. That is a really nice pic!!! Also liking the mushroom as well. We seem to have an unusual number of different types of mushrooms in the yard this year and I have had alot of fun photographing them.

Sparkles, great shot of the petals on water! Love it!

Diamond, you have some wonderful shots!

Oldchick, love the ants.

Ever get the feeling you're being watched? THe shot I couldn't resist, it just made me laugh

I took a bunch of pics of my boys swimming at the lake at Greenbrier St. Park yesterday. I thought it was neat how the image captured the water droplets on Roen's arm.

I'm slowly finding my way around here, I do photography, but with a small twist, I do low level aerial photography with a radio control helicopter.

Mostly real estate and golf course stuff, where it is too expensive or not pratical to use a full size helicopter.

I love the water, Msbear! I actually practiced that recently with some ducks off the dock.

I didn't really post a lot of duck pictures to FB, so that's all I've got to show for it, though.

I even tried to take some pictures off the boat, but it was just way too bumpy for me to risk my camera like that again. I got a couple cute ones though. Here's one I really like.

On a sadder note...
Today, my external hard drive which stores ALL of my 10,000+ pictures, gave up the ghost.

I'm pulling that sucker out and I'm running it through every recovery program I can find, but nada so far. Very depressing.

Maggie! OMG. That is terrible. My computer died earlier this summer and I was terrified for three days!! until DUDE

called to let me know he transferred everything to my external. I found out later he really overcharged me and never did fix anything.. I am a penny pincher but, I was so very happy that I got my pics, I never blinked an eye. I know exactly how you feel.

...I am going out tomorrow and getting another external and backing up my back up. good luck and keep trying. It may be expensive but, it can be done. ..just depends on how much you want it. I have kids and would have lost a couple of years of their existence which I was not prepared to do.

Due to my paranoia, I had 2 other drives backing up this one, along with my computer. The only photos not backed up are perhaps the two last years? One winter and two summers? That winter bites, I had some fun snow ones on there. And all my nature photography... Which I need for the trail project... Oh darn. I forgot about that.

Recovery does not look good.

If I have to, I can try sending it to the computer guy at the office. That guy has skills. He fixed my PC when it had the "Screen of Death"... Twice.

Obviously I'm doing something wrong...

On the bright side, most of the good pictures have been published and I've uploaded some to shutterfly and facebook.

Learn from my mistakes! Great idea, Msbear. New plan, everyone! Let's all go out and get an extra hard drive. The back-up to our back-up.

You never know when you'll need it!
