Who here is waiting on Eggs???

Pics aren't good but here's some that hatched overnight.

Moving them to the broader shortly.

Who wants to talk about this to pass the time?

Who else right now is waiting on eggs to hatch??

I’m bored, I’ll go first!

I bought 12 California Valley eggs online, 7 are viable and clearly moving/alive so... also their air cells don’t look that fabulous but some look perfect. I know I know shipped eggs and all that... we take a risk. I’ll be happy to get just a few honestly at this point. I do not expect a great hatch rate like with my own eggs.

Anyway!

Lockdown is on July 10!
Predicted Hatch Day July 13th!
I thought you meant waiting for eggs, like I am. My Mottled Javas are 17 weeks old now and the average laid egg I have read about was 23 weeks. Yup, I guess you could say I am waiting on eggs too! Good luck on yours!

Beings I am new to this, I ordered my quail eggs on Ebay, and they've been in the bator since the 29th. I am waiting impatiently for the eggs to hatch. Time is going very slow but I am reading a lot, mostly this site because of all the good information.
Your in the right place! Everyone has been super helpful trying to troubleshoot my process. Good luck with your hatch!

I am keeping a hatching journal so I remember what I did this time so I can make adjustments if I need to next time (I'm sure I will). Kind of discouraging to read the hatch rate of mail order eggs, but I will be happy if any hatch at all I suppose. I hope I get at least 2 tho.

A journal is a great idea. I’ve decided to start one too. How many eggs do you have incubating?

And I'm in, too. I have 8 Nankin Bantam eggs in the bator. One started out under a first-time broody who changed her mind. The rest have accumulated over the past week, so we figured ... what the hey. We'll give 'em a go.

Oh - and the fickle mama got her name when she was very, very little. She snarfed a whole grape that somehow made it through the slicing session intact. Of course, she took off with her prize so no one else could steal it, and swallowed the entire thing whole before we could get it away from her. We waited for her to fall over, choking, but she didn't. Hence her moniker ... Miss Piggy!
