Who here locks there coop with a "lock"?

People door has two hasps ans Master locks the run has two hasps and master locks and the pop door (inside the run) has a master lock.) We have mad crazed coons here. I just have a cup hook near each door with the extra key.

I also have padlocks on the gate, coop, windows and nesting boxes. I figure, you cant be too safe. I'ts probably for my security as well knowing nothing upon nothing is going to get my girls. I sleep well at night.

Locks on the coop door and the run door. No particular reason except for maybe the neighborhood kids wandering onto the property to see the girls. Also, the raccoons can be very adept at opening a slide bolt. Better safe than sorry.

I do. Human predators and egg thieves abound! None of my chickens are particularly "valuable" but also I just don't want anybody letting them out either.
It got froze up on me last winter, that was a pain in the rear!

interesting to read all the different set ups and why you guys have them. I still need to get a lock on the run and I need some on 4 more pens.

I have 1 coop WITH a lock but I don't ever lock it, guess I should. My other two coops just have chain link fences/ gates. But I also have two VERY large guard dogs that would at the VERY least let me know if someone was here.
