Who is against no-crow collars?

I tried crow reduction collars due to a family member not liking the loudness. I found them on Etsy. It is not a solid band of velcro, but a patch with a two "tails" coming off of it design. The one roo always managed to rip his off in two seconds, and I was afraid to tighten them too much, so they didn't really do much, and made them sound really odd when they did crow. Only one remained on a roo until I took it off myself a few months back. It also rubs the feathers under it off.
We have less roos now, so the crowing isn't as much of an issue.
