Who is against no-crow collars?

I live in a town and I believe I have hatched a silkie roo. I will fo anything to keep him, not crowed yet but I am planning ahead. If I notice the collar hurts him I will obviously take it off immediately. If the collar doesn't work or he doesn't like like it, then I will try to get him a good home!

You could get him surgically castrated which reduces his urge to crow but would mean he couldn't breed with the hens.
 
I am now uncomfortable...... (Castrating) I have to watch it all the time (Pig breeder fam)
It's not done the same way as a mammal.
I believe it's done by making an insission in the body and removing the testicles. They will still crow a little bit not nearly as much. They act more like a hen and put their energy into growing instead of protecting the flock. They won't grow long tail feathers nor will they have a large comb
