Went to buy more shavings...came home with 11 chicks. You know how that goes. One white crested black polish, 5 black copper marans, and 5 Sicilian buttercups. I really like the two SB chicks that I already have, so was pretty thrilled that they had more.

Nice! The one feed store here that is still selling chicks will have the last batch on May 2. Needless to say I'm buying feed and shavings somewhere else. Too much temptation

I like the buttercups, or maybe it was campines, I liked one of those breeds, my neighbor had them. Do they come in bantam? No wait, I'm only getting Cochin bantams from now on. Nothing else (hit myself) darn chicken math

I was barely able to catch my chicks in the brooder from day 3

It's okay, you're safe. I don't think either of those two come in bantam size.

I did find some beautiful silver-penciled cochin bantams a week or two ago to add to my own collection. I've got red, buff, black, and partridge otherwise.
