Who is on your Spring "wish list" for new chicks?

I have a big long list that I sadly cannot act upon - limit 5 chickens per household in tempe xD

But when I move out... cochins. Brahmas.... BLRW. GLW. A few silkies.... A rainbow of Orpingtons.... any breed in Splash.... the list goes on.

Ahh, dreams! I'm dying for some dark-brown egg layers. Marans, Welsummers, Barnevelders, Penedesenca. I want to be able to gather eggs of every possible natural color! But I want to get my blue egg layers and my light-brown egg layers situated first.

WISH LIST:
More Guineas ( Only have 11

What I want is to be able to move out to a rural area where I can have lots and lots of chickens, other animals and a huge garden! Ahem...

Barring that winning lottery number sometime this winter, I can probably only add about 3-4 more hens in the space we have. I will probably go for EEs, to get the pretty eggs. And maybe a BO or two. Yeah, a couple EE and a couple BO. Maybe. And I may look for started pullets locally, rather than ordering chicks. I really don't have the space or flock size to end up with another rooster.

What I'd really like is a few silkies, tho....

PipsnPeeps is a BYC username, Serrin has gotten "Chicks" for that BYC'er. Trust me, if there was a NEW chicken breed, I'd know about it!

Wow...this post was started almost this time last year...lol.
I'd like to try a few bantams in the spring, just for pets...maybe 4 or 5. I'm thinking a silky, cochin (love the frizzled ones), some kind of oegb...maybe a houdan...not sure really. There are so many cute/pretty bantam breeds out there. Since I lost my standard EE early summer this year, maybe a bantam EE

I've also been researching and thinking about the possiblity of trying cornishx. Just not sure if I'm up to that; I'm such a softy/wimp when it comes to animals. But I appreciate the idea of being able to raise/process my own.
