Day 21 and I have 10 healthy RIR's and one Black Cochin!

Day 21 and three pipped and peeping. Black and blue WC Polish.

Im on day 1 for 8 Silkie eggs. 4 cuckoo, 2 white, 2 blue/black/splash

Due to hatch on the 23rd.

I'm waiting again... 5 little silver button quail eggs to go in the hatcher tomorrow.

I have 3 males and one female... what are the chances I'll get a couple more females?

Next in line are 4 silkie eggs... first ones from my own flock!!! Can't wait to see what comes out of the mixed pen!

Good luck on those silkies, Tori! That is the coolest thing when you start breeding birds in your own flock. This morning, the two pips are larger, but no more pips. Today is Day 21, but we know Orps are sloooooooooooow.

My neighbor is on day 21 with some of eggs from my flock! She has two little black chicks and 2 more pips. I don't remember how many eggs were left after we candled.

She just called to say a red one is out!

Another one out mid day-it was red. She has 2 blacks and 2 reds-1 black and 2 reds are from my girls. Why is she getting all my reds!

Out of 14 chicks I have 1 red.
