Congrats on the babies everyone! 2 of mine have hatched out (look like RIRs) and I have two other pips! Yay I hope more come along.

I found an egg in my bator that was pipped, that I wasn't expecting til next week!! The mama was hiding her nest, and we hadn't noticed her missing that long! I was candling the eggs, cause I have been unable to tell if they were even alive. This one looked different, and I figured it had gone bad. As I was going to set it on the table to toss, it peeped at me!! I checked it, and it has a pip on the wrong end!! There isn't any blood, so I think it will be ok. I also have 3 more chicks that have hatched today!!

No more quail, though.

Looks like my little button might be alone for a while...

We are having a great second hatch!! our fourth set in the LG has so far produced 3 fuzzies in the pre-brooder, 4 peepers in the incubator, 2 more zippers, and I can't keep it open ling enough to see how many more pipped. Started with 23 eggs, 5 non-fertile and 18 possibles. A month ago I never thought of chickens, Now I are a CHICKEN farmer!

My dear husband woke me early this morning to let me know that we have our first pip! We have had a rough go with this hatch (supposed to be the hens doing all the work-didn't turn out that way!) and we are thrilled that they seem to be doing so well. We'll keep you posted!

Day 22 for my first ever frizzle hatch...I was so nervous yesterday when nothing happened and I kept pacing in front of the incubator- trying to keep myself from opening it

And then, and hour ago pipping at last

One out so far and two other almost, the rest of the eggs are rocking like crazy
