I woke up this morning and 3 more had hatched!!

Out of 12 eggs and one I think was infertile- I have 5 chicks and another one is Zipping

I had 3 silkie eggs in there and last ime I candled they were growing....I hope they hatch..late? Oh well. I'm still happy.
3 are cinnimon brown and 2 white/yellow. They are mixed but they look Pure Leghorn and RIR. Congrats everyone!! Good hatching month!!

I think this batch finished. We set 23 eggs on Octobober 1st (brown eggs). At least 5 were infertile. 10 hatched healthy chicks, 2 didn't survive zipping and 6 did nothing. I won't clean till tomorrow just in case, but I am exceedingly pleased to get over 50% with a still air LG and hand turning.

ended up with 7 out of 7 baby seramas! I love my little LG still air. I have had GREAT success: Out of 13 tiny Serama eggs over the last 2 mos, all but 1 egg (internal pip) hatched out in under 19-20 days.

The last of the 7 hatched at 4:30am this morning. I'm TAHRD!

yesterday. which is day 22. I have a pic in this category if you like to see what he/she looks like? 1 foot has crooked toes so I will fix that when my mother brings home a heating bulb, food and a brooder box.
