Who is pipping and waiting right now??

I just took eggs out of the turner - they are on days 17/18. One of the ones that is on day 18 looked like it was trying to pip through the air cell! It is one of the little mille fleur d'uccles. Glad I decided to move them out of the turner today instead of tomorrow.

do you count the day you put the eggs in the bator, if not i am on day 20 and the eggs i got from speckledhen 2 are working hard to bust out and the others are piping

I moved barred rocks and 3 phoenix eggs to the hatcher this morning. Now the waiting begins.

Dang, I just checked the eggs and nothing, while writing this post I have one that zipped and is happily peeping cheering on the other eggs.!!

If you put them in in the morning you count it as Day 1, but if you put them in in the afternoon it's Day 0. You could technically count the hours exactly if you wanted to, but this simplifies it.

We are having another good hatch! Third one in a row with the LG still air. Got 5 out, 1 zipping and 2 pipping out of 12 right now! The first hatch was early this morning, so we might get a good percentage. We are up to 21 chicks hatched in just over a month.

today is day 21 an still no pips.......I think something has gone wrong

If you had any low temps it would delay the hatch. Do not open the bator for atleast another day or two. Then I would candle to see what is going on. They may just be a little late.

I checked the eggs under my Araucana today and the 2 that should have hatched were bad. I opened them and they were gross and runny.
However, one is peeping that is due to hatch tomorrow and the other I am not sure about. I didn't hear anything peeping but it wasn't sloshy when I shook it a bit either. Could have been a lethal though.
I have a few under her that are due to hatch each day till Sat. so we shall see what happens.
Always so much fun, no matter how many times we go through it!
