There is alot of good information here. Don't be afraid to ask questions. There are no dumb questions except the ones that aren't asked. We have all been in your shoes, some longer than others.

Well... This morning (Day 21) I had three hatched of 16, and several others pipped. At noon I had 8 hatched, and tonight I have 14 hatched and one pipped.

It seems that the less I do to the eggs the better the hatch rate I get. I use to weigh them to monitor the weight loss, I would candle them and try to monitor the growth rate. And I would get about a 66 to 75 % hatch rate.

Now I don't do anything except keep the humidity and temp close to being correct and then keep my hands off the eggs. (I have an auto turner) I've been getting close to a 100%.

I guess curiosity can be mistaken for caring and does more harm than good. I really feel like I should be doing more during this time but I cannot argue with this kind of success.

Well this is a first for me... I now have all 16 of 16 eggs mailed to me hatched! Usually there is a non fertile one or one the mail screwed up or something like that.

I have 7 of 14 quail in this batch hatched and another two pipped. I'm already on day 19 and still getting new ones, but I had trouble keeping the temps high enough after I removed the turner, partly because of the loss of turner heat, I think, and because we had a cold snap and the room temps drops a bit. I'm hoping for two or three more, but I'm happy either way since these were all shipped eggs.

This is day 20 for me, and 6 out of 9 have pipped. I've been standing over the bator all day watching them try to work their way out of those tiny little eggs. (I really need a life)
